"I ordered an El grande burrito. I asked for no hot sauce and make sure there isn't any peppers in it as I am extremely allergic to peppers. As I ate only a few bites I quickly realized they put hot sauce in my burrito causing my throat to start closing up. The service when I picked up my food to go was not great. I waited 10 minutes for my food after they had told me it was coming out right that second..... very disappointed."

"A selfie today with my friend Miguel, owner of the La Cabana Mexican Restaurant in Newton. Pam and I have eaten at La Cabana since they first opened about 25 years ago. The Chili Colorado has always been my favorite, however, due to having gout and needing to watch my diet beef is no longer an option for me. I don't know why in the past I never thought of having chicken instead of beef with my colorado but that's changed forever now. If you like a little, maybe a bit more than than a little spicy, this dish is made for you. Nice spice heat without going overboard, along with a wonderful flavor, the chicken is incredibly tender and delicious, the mexican rice is great by itself or as I prefer, mixing some in with the chicken and the sauce. La Cabanas refried beans are epic, smooth and creamy, simply mouthwatering, just didn't want my meal to end. As you can clearly see from the last photo La Cabana wins my coveted cleaned plate award, actually licked plate award. This is an excellent Mexican Restaurant, serving mouthwatering delicious food along with great service, very much worth the drive, no matter where you live. I give them my highest recommendation and feel fortunate they are right here in Newton."
